Is your computer slowing down? We have some tips for you to speed it up

For example, you can start by checking whether you have dozens of unused programs running in the background. Just completely close the more demanding programs so that they do not unnecessarily clog up your capacity. Simply right-click on the bottom bar on your monitor and open the "Task Manager" and the "process list" or "processes" tab. The columns in it show how the application uses the processor, how much memory (RAM) it takes up, how much disk space it uses (read/write) and how much the application uses network resources.
Some applications may have problems terminating, and even if they are not visibly running in processes at first glance, they are limiting processor performance. This can be helped by marking this application and then terminating the process using the end process button.
Also, pay attention to the number of open tabs in your web browser. The more tabs you have open, the more system resources your web browser uses.
Insufficient disk space also slows down the system's response when reading or writing data. You can check this as follows: In Windows Explorer, under "My Computer", you will find an overview of your disks. For optimal performance, there should be at least 15 % of free space on each disk. The more free space you have, the easier it is for the system to make decisions about where to save files.
It is also important to regularly clean the so-called Temporary files. This folder stores all temporarily necessary files when working online or from local programs, and in 99.9% cases there is no need to keep them. While downloaded files can be deleted using delete, it is better to entrust the work of temporary files directly to the system. In the properties of the C: drive via Windows Explorer on the General tab, or also File and in it Options you will find the Disk Cleanup button.
If your computer is really slowing down, you may have a virus or malware infection. In this case, no quick and easy trick will help you, and you should seek help from our experts.
